"Tambula nange[,] this gentleman was very talented[,] I still listen to his music up today," Ssekandi, who is also a former speaker of parliament, responded to the tweet.
Tambula Nange, or Walk with Me, is one of the few singles Radio, real name, Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, sang without the other half of GoodLyfe, Wease Manizo, born Douglas Mayanja.
For songwriter Henry Ssekyanzi Ninsiima, better known as Nince Henry, Twalina Omukwano, the scintillating ballad Radio wrote for Julina Kanyomozi was the best in terms of execution.
"... it’s like the only Mozey song that was well executed vocally. Of course not perfectly but..." he tweeted recently.
The song was released in 2015 and Kanyomozi recently paid tribute to him while performing at Comedy Store.
"The next song is written by the one you all love, Mowzey Radio," Kanyomozi declared as she introduced the song.
Radio, who died in 2018, would have celebrated his 38th birthday on Jan 25.
She wrote on Twitter: "I will always choose to celebrate the day Moses was born. Because he was born, I had my children🤗because he was born, I met him🥰, because he was born, music in Uganda was changed💃🏾, because he was born, many musicians have been inspired💯 Happy birthday my love. We Miss you 🥰 RIP."
Eddy Kenzo tweeted: "Good morning everyone, let's celebrate king Moses, #foreverlove love ❤️ gone but not forgotten much respect ❤️ Love from Big talent Team Eddy Kenzo 🙏"
Pallaso posted on Twitter: "Happy Birthday Legend. I shoulda Loved you more. It’s sad we never know how much time we still have. You gave me one shot and it changed the world. I am so proud of you and I know you are proud of me.❤️@radioandweasel."
He left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry through the jams he released and those he wrote for other musicians.
