The highly anticipated two-day dance experience will take place on 15th and 16th May 2026 at Motiv Uganda, running daily from 9:00AM to 8:00PM.

Created as more than just a dance event, Own The Floor Dance Camp is positioning itself as a powerful creative movement aimed at empowering young people through dance, music, collaboration, self-expression, and urban culture. The camp brings together dancers, performers, choreographers, DJs, creatives, and lovers of movement culture in one energetic and inspiring space.

According to organizers, the experience is designed to help young creatives sharpen their craft, build confidence, connect with fellow artists, and gain visibility within Uganda’s growing entertainment and dance industry.
The camp celebrates both African and urban dance styles while creating an atmosphere where talent, creativity, and performance culture can thrive without limits.
This year’s edition features an exciting lineup of dancers and creatives including Emma Kendrick, Bgirl Joan, Bobby Beats, Fleekers UG, Cohen Mayani, Miss Tee, Syrosoff, Afro Prince, Abaddie_Gyal, Uncle Walter Levy, Hama_D3M, Treee, and several other talents shaping Uganda’s urban entertainment culture.

With dance culture continuing to dominate social media trends, music videos, nightlife, and youth entertainment spaces globally, the event arrives at a time when Uganda’s next generation of creatives is increasingly gaining attention both online and offline.
Tickets for the event are already available, with a one-day pass going for UGX 20,000 while the full two-day experience costs UGX 40,000.
The event is powered by Black Culture Academy Uganda and DanceMamweeta alongside partners including Talent Africa Group, NRG Radio Uganda 106.5, Tusker Lite, GZ Pictures, Trroy Studios, Akiro, and Vibe House.
As anticipation continues to build across Kampala’s dance circles and social media platforms, one thing is becoming increasingly clear — Own The Floor Dance Camp 2026 is not just another event on the calendar.
It is a celebration of movement, culture, confidence, creativity, and the unstoppable energy of Uganda’s young generation.
And this May, Kampala’s dance floor belongs to the creatives.
