🔥 NYEGE NYEGE AT 10: “THE GATHERING OF THE FLAME” LIGHTS UP KALAGALA FALLS, NOVEMBER 20–23, 2025 🔥

KAMPALA, Uganda – Uganda’s most iconic music and cultural celebration, the Nyege Nyege Festival, is set to return for its historic 10th anniversary edition from November 20–23, 2025, at the scenic Kalagala Falls in Kangulumira. This year’s theme, Ekyigunda Ky’omuliro – The Gathering of the Flame, symbolizes unity, resilience, and the enduring spirit of African celebration.

A Global Lineup on Uganda’s Biggest Stage

Over four days, the festival will feature five stages and more than 300 artists from across Africa and the globe. The first phase lineup includes international stars such as DJ Skrillex (USA), Flowdan (UK), Tash LC (UK), DJ Travella (Tanzania), Boutross (Kenya), Bclip (Colombia), Dylan Brady (USA), and many others. A second phase—spotlighting top Ugandan DJs and performers—will be announced soon.

Adventure Meets Culture

For the first time, Nyege Nyege moves to Kalagala Falls, transforming the riverside wilderness into a cultural paradise. Festivalgoers will not only enjoy world-class music but also have access to rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, and other adrenaline-pumping adventures, courtesy of Adrift Uganda, The River Club, The Overland Camp, and community-owned sites.

“This is the most picturesque venue in Nyege Nyege history. Kalagala Falls truly embodies Uganda’s natural beauty and adventure spirit, and we are proud to welcome the world here for this milestone edition,” said Leanne Haigh, CEO of Tourvest East Africa (Adrift Uganda).

Tourism & Cultural Exchange

Organized in partnership with Explore Uganda, through the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Nyege Nyege is Uganda’s largest international tourism draw. Thousands of visitors are expected to explore not only the festival but also Uganda’s national parks, lakes, and cultural heritage.

Beyond Music: Fashion, Film & Dialogue

The 10th anniversary expands Nyege Nyege’s reach beyond music, featuring:

  • Fashion showcases in partnership with Kwetu Kwanza, highlighting sustainable and iconic African fashion.

  • Film screenings curated by Matatu Stage, spotlighting short films from Uganda and across Africa.

  • The inaugural African Electronic Music Conference, bringing together 15 cultural organizations to explore the future of the continent’s music scene.

This broader programming aligns with Uganda’s cultural and tourism policies, positioning the country as a global hub for creativity and adventure.

Uganda Waragi at 60 x Nyege Nyege at 10

In a historic collaboration, Uganda Breweries Limited joins the celebration as Uganda Waragi turns 60, curating a dedicated stage with cocktails, performances, and immersive brand experiences.

“Uganda Waragi has been part of Uganda’s story for six decades, and it is only fitting that we celebrate our milestone alongside Uganda’s biggest cultural festival,” said Hillary Baguma, Brand Manager at UBL.
