Jinja, Uganda – October 2024* – The 2024 Uganda Waragi Nyege Nyege Music Festival concluded this weekend with an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and unity that brought together thousands of revelers at Jinja Golf Club.

Spanning four days—from Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening—the festival attracted crowds from across Uganda and beyond, solidifying its reputation as East Africa’s largest and most vibrant music event.

With an eclectic mix of genres ranging from reggae, R&B, and hip-hop to Afro-pop, Afro-fusion, and classic oldies, the festival showcased an impressive diversity of musical talent. The highlight of the festival came on Saturday, when the main stage came alive with electrifying performances from some of Uganda’s top artists. Kenneth Mugabi, Pia Pounds, Elijah Kitaka, and Ssuuna Ben delivered memorable sets that had the audience singing and dancing along.
