A RECAP OF THE JAMESON AND FRIENDS -MAPENZI EDITION

Design Hub Industrial Area was the center of good vibes, as Talent Africa together with partners wrapped up the month of February with the Jameson and Friends- Mapenzi edition.

The event which was on Saturday the 24th of February, brought together an ensemble of friends for an evening of bonding and connecting.
The Jameson and Friends is an afternoon into evening event featuring an array of entertaining games like Jenga, mini golf, pool table, Matatu, and others.
Gates were open at 4:oopm with DJ Tony setting the tone for the evening while Hibotep, right after, kept the crowd on their feet with her infectious energy and undeniable talent. DJ Alza’s incredible mix was also nothing less than powerful.

Perhaps the highlight of the event was Kenneth Mugabi who took center stage and captivated the audience with his soulful hits like Nkwegomba, Oliwange, and others. He was joined by Akeine who delivered an outstanding performance and had attendees singing along to her Nina, and Onina hits among others. The night came alive when Dj Kasbaby and Alfonkodee, sent the crowd into a frenzy with their seamless transitions.

Soccer fans got to enjoy the Manchester and Arsenal matches while getting free haircuts, and having light conversations over free Jameson cocktails. Attendees enjoyed barbeque from the meat guy while Gaming enthusiasts also bonded over video games.
As the clock struck midnight, the musical journey continued with DJ Kash Pro taking over the decks. DJ Tony returned for a final set to close out the evening, the Jameson and Friends Mapenzi Edition came to a bittersweet end, leaving attendees with hearts full of love, memories to last a lifetime, and a newfound appreciation for the power of connection.

The Jameson and Friends Mapenzi Edition came at a time when Uganda is getting ready for the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell show slated for the 2nd of March at the Kololo independence grounds. As attendees dispersed into the early morning, their spirits lifted and their hearts full, it was clear that this event had left a mark on all who attended. They bonded, connected, and created memories – a testament to the magic of Mapenzi and the power Jameson whiskey has to bring people together.
The Jameson and Friends editions continue to target their core audience which are youths aged 18-35.
