Excitement for the Ekyoto Ha Mpango festival has reached a fever peak high as His Majesty King Oyo of the Tooro Kingdom officiated the Fort Portal Tourism City Rally on the 9th of August 2024, where he showcased his rally driving skills in a thrilling competition ahead of his coronation anniversary celebrations set for the 13th-14th of September 2024.
Organized by the Uganda Motor Club and His Majesty King Oyo leading the way, the 3-day rally event was a spectacular day filled with adrenaline, culture, and community spirit.
Ekyoto Ha Mpango is set to bring Fort Portal to life from the 13th to the 14th of September 2024 with a dynamic celebration of culture, music, sports, fashion, and tourism. Following the success of the 2021 hybrid edition held during the lockdown, the objectives of the 2nd edition are to promote tourism, cultural exchange, and economic growth in the region, while celebrating the diversity and vibrancy of Ugandan culture. The festival aims to not only entertain but also educate, inspire, and showcase the Tooro region as the leading tourism destination in Africa.
